Role of Techonolgy In Developing Better Villages : A Field Study

Abstract

In this research paper I have made an attempt to understand the impact of technology, various
processes of social change like westernisation urbanisation technological advancement on traditions
and age old customs, behaviour pattern, life style thought pattern of society in general and rural
India in particular.
Technology is imperative in today’s world whether it is village life city or a metro. For the
development expansion and progress of rural areas technology has been used on large scale in
villages, specifically for agricultural purposes. The major objective of this paper will be to bring out
the information in context of impact of technological advancements , role of information and
communication technology in bringing out development at village level. Rural development is of
utmost importance and extremely vital for the development of the country as more than sixty five
percents of India still lives in villages. The analysis will be mainly based on the studies collected
during my visit to the villages: Baqinagar and Rahimabad, Block Malihabad, District Lucknow.
