Abstract

The business cycle is not new in the Indian economy. Over the past decade, India has witnessed two
major stages of the business cycle. A high-growth tide lifted all the boats, and the high profits were
considered natural. There has been a recession in the last four years. The banking industry, which is
currently growing at a high rate of + 30%, is experiencing a growth rate of 19%. This document is an
attempt to analyze performance by analyzing the key components of the financial variables of the five
major banks in the public, private and foreign sectors. The weights are specified according to the
importance of the parameters for financing.
