विगत चार दशकों के दौरान चीन महापरिवर्तन के दौर से गुजर रहा है। इस छोटे से कालखंड में यह विश्व की महाशक्ति भी बन चुका है, और आने वाले वर्ष में वह अमेरिका के प्रभुत्व को चुनौती देने के लिए तैयार है। चीन यह शानदार उभार, अपनी अद्वितीय और आश्चर्यजनक आर्थिक प्रगति-दर, जो पिछले 40 वर्षो से लगातार, बिना लड़खड़ाए 10 प्रतिशत के आसपास बनी हुई है- के बल पर पहले से ही सुनिश्चित कर चुका है। उसकी शानदार, चमचमाती हुई उपलब्धि का मनुष्यता के ज्ञात इतिहास में कोई जोड़ नहीं है। यहाँ तक कि चीन के आलोचक भी उसकी इस महान सफलता का लोहा मान चुके हैं। विश्व बैंक ने भी लिखा है कि चीन ने -‘इतिहास में सबसे तेज, टिकाऊ और भरोसेमंद प्रगति, एक बड़ी अर्थव्यवस्था के माध्यम से प्राप्त की है। इस अवधि में उसने 80 करोड़ नागरिकों को गरीबी के दलदल से बाहर निकाला है।‘ चीन में बदलाव की शुरुआत 1979 से आर्थिक सुधारों की घोषणा से हुई थी। आज वह ‘क्रय-शक्ति तुल्यता‘ के आधार पर विश्व-भर में पहले पायदान पर मजबूती से डटा है। अनेक अर्थशास्त्री यह अनुमान लगा रहे हैं कि चीन आगामी दो दशकों में, यहाँ तक कि उससे पहले ही विश्व की सबसे बड़ी अर्थव्यवस्था बनने की तैयारी कर चुका है। यह बात ध्यान में रखनी होगी कि जब भी ऐसा होगा, वह पिछले सौ या फिर उससे भी अधिक वर्षो में अपनी तरह का पहला अवसर होगा, जब विश्व की सबसे बड़ी आर्थिक महाशक्ति की मशाल किसी गैर-यूरोपीय देश के हाथो में होगी।

In the carbon tetrachloride / benzene method, dimethylketone measured ultrasound velocity, density and viscosity at 301 K of alcohol mixtures (pentanol, hexanol, heptanol, octanol and decanol).The following acoustical parameter was assessed from the measured values. The potential of adiabatic compression, acoustic impedance, relaxation time, relative intermolecular interlinkage with free length, free volume, available volume, constant Wadas and Rao's, Linard-John. In liquid mixtures, the essence of intermolecular interaction was dependent on the variance of the acoustic parameter.The interaction of non-polar molecules is decreasing as the length of the alcohol chains increases. Effects of molecular interactions, including dipole-dipole interaction through hydrogen bonds between solvents and 1-alkanols, were studied and interpreted. In addition, the experimental ultrasound speeds for all these binary systems are compared to the theoretical ultrasound speed

During the later half of the 20th century, education came to be recognised as an important factor for economic development around the world. The notion of ‘Investment in man’ stirred a plethora of research highlighting the fact that expenditure in education and health is very important for ensuring economic and social well being of the people as well as the soceity. Evidence show that education not only increseas the produtivity but also broadens choices before the individuals. Though, many countries recognised this role of education in ensuring higher economic returns for indivulas as well as nations yet education is still inadequately funded in many developing countries like India. Despite lot of pressure from within the country and several intenational committments, India remained elusive for more than six decades to fulfil one of the most basic constitutional obligation of making elementary education a fundamental right. Further, situation at the secondary and higher education levels is also not encouraging. As a result, there exists two kinds of education systems in the country – one, which caters to the needs of the few who can bear the cost of education from their private purse, and the other, relatively cheap, which is substantially funded by the state wherein majority of people graduates without acquiring minimum levels of knowledge and skills. The paper argues that in the present age of competition and excellence mere access to education is not enough. Due to this disparity and pathetic quality of mass education, benefits of economic growth gets concentrated in the hands of the few and average productivity remains abysmally low. Further, the paper postulates that investment in quality education for all would raise the average productivity, improve consumpotion patterns, and increase further investment in education. Besides focussing on the enrollment, education policy should also focus on improvement in the quality of educational outcomes.

वास्तव में शिक्षा मनुष्य को मानव बनाने की प्रक्रिया है या यह कहा जाये कि मनुष्य को मानव बनाने का दायित्व शिक्षा पर है। शिक्षा की व्यवस्थागत प्रक्रिया से निकलकर ही बालक एक वयस्क के रूप में समाज में अपना स्थान और स्तर निर्धारित करता है। व्यक्तित्व और समाज की आवश्यकता के अनुसार बालक को शिक्षित और सभ्य बनाने का अहम कार्य शिक्षा व्यवस्था से ही अपेक्षित होता है।

मौर्य साम्राज्य के विध्वंस होने के पष्चात् इसके खण्हरों से कई नए साम्राज्य उभरें जिसमें उभरने वाला एक साम्राज्य पंचाल था। यह बुद्व के अवधि के दौरान 16 महाजनपदों में एक था, जो वत्र्तमान में कानपुर से वाराणसी के गंगा के मैदानी भागों में फैला हुआ है। इसकी दो शाखाएँ - उत्तर पंचाल जिसकी राजधानी ‘अहिक्षत्र’ और दक्षिणी पंचाल जिसकी राजधानी काम्पिल्य थी। पंचाल जनपद को प्राचीन काल में संभवतः क्रिवि जनपद के नाम से जाना जाता था इसका उल्लेख शतपथ ब्राह्मण ;13ध्5ध्4ध्9द्ध में भी आया है ;कृक्यइति पुरो पंचालानाचझतेद्ध । तत्पष्चात् ’’पंचाल नामकरण किन परिस्थितियों में किस व्यक्ति विषेष ने किया, इसका स्पष्ट तथ्यात्मक प्रमाण नहीं मिलता। पाणिनी की अष्टाध्यायी ;4ध्7ध्763द्ध में पंचाल के स्थान पर प्रत्यग्रंथ का उल्लेख है। गंगा एवं रामगंगा के बीच प्रत्यग्रंथ जनपद स्थित था, जिसे पंचाल भी कहा गया है। ख्1, पतंजलि ने अपने महाकाल में एक जनपद के रूप में पंचाल का उल्लेख किया है। ख्2, मध्यकालिन शब्दकोषों के अनुसार पंचाल का ही दूसरा नाम प्रत्यग्रंथ था, जिसकी राजधानी अहिच्छत्र थी।

Isolation and Characterization of Protease Producing Organism Bacillus Species from Slaughter House Waste

The purpose of this investigation was to isolate protease producing bacteria from slaughter house waste collected in local area of Kaliakkavilai. The Bacillus sp. was identified by several biochemical and physiological tests. The effect of different production parameters such as pH, temperature, metal ions concentration and substrate concentration for protease production by the isolated bacterial strain were studied. The enzyme production was assayed in submerged fermentation with optimized parameters to produce maximum protease activity and specific activity was observed as 1.067 and 0.011 µmol/ml/min. The partial purification of protease was done by column chromatography.

अपनी प्रगति एवं उपलब्धियों पर तब तक गर्व नहीं कर सकता जब तक कि उसके यहाॅं षिक्षा का स्तर उच्च न हो। सम्पूर्ण भारतवर्ष के विकास के लिए समाज के प्रत्येक वर्ग को सस्ती और तकनीकी, ज्ञानवर्द्धक शिक्षा सुलभ कराई जानी चाहिये। वर्तमान में जो शिक्षा प्रदान की जा रही है वह छात्रों को भम्रित करने का ही काम अधिक कर रही है। शिक्षा इस प्रकार से होनी चाहिए जिससे कि छात्र अपने जीवन काल में कुछ कमा खा सके। राष्ट् की बेरोजगारी कम हो सके तथा सभी को आजिविका चलाने का अधिक से अधिक अवसर मिल सके। शिक्षा उत्पादोन्मुख होनी चाहिए, क्याकि उत्पादन में वृद्धि ही आर्थिक विािस का मूल आधार है। गाॅंधीजी ने शिक्षा के क्षेत्र में इस कमी को पहचान लिया था। उन्होंने शिक्षा को उत्पादकत्ता से जोड़ने का प्रयास किया था। आज का समय आधुनिक है। हम आधुनिक समाज में जी रहे है, अतः शिक्षा को भी तकनीकि होना चाहिए, जिससे कि उद्योगांे का विकास हो सके और भारत उद्योगों के विकास से और आगे बढ़ सके।
